Announcing Flatland: Billboards in the Crossroads of America
 

Flatland: Billboards in the Crossroads of America is a statewide billboard art competition for Indiana artists to create art that will be displayed on billboards in Bloomington, Indianapolis, and in the SoFA Gallery on the IU Bloomington campus. The exhibit is a collaboration between the School of Fine Arts (SoFA) Gallery at Indiana University and the Bloomington-based arts organization Your Art Here.

The exhibit opens Tuesday, September 2 and continues through Saturday, October 4. An opening reception will be held in the SoFA Gallery on Friday, September 5, from 7-9pm, with progressive opening festivities located at downtown billboards featuring the winners artwork.


Artists Eligibility
All professional and student artists 18 years and older living within the state of Indiana are eligible. Work selected for the exhibition must be original and have been completed after January 1, 2002. For more information and entry forms, visit: www.yourarthere.org or http://sofa.fa.indiana.edu.

Entry Deadline

All entries must arrive no later than July 1, 2003.

Your Art Here is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit, social arts organization currently using commercial billboards as public art spaces.
