Announcing Collect All Four!
A Your Art Here T-shirt contest for art about consumerism
with special guest juror, Ryan Nole, owner of Kangaroo Press.

Advertising continues to be a dominating aspect of both our cultural and visual landscape. The pervasiveness of branding strategy has even spawned the idea of “walking billboards;” consumers pay for expensive t-shirts featuring corporate logos and they themselves serve as brand-name advertisements. Indeed, the idea of t-shirts as walking billboards is considered to be one of the most clever “wins” of the branding phenomenon.

As Your Art Here continues to use alternative modes of expression to create a positive response to popular media sources, we would like to invite you to make t-shirt designs about consumerism for Collect All Four!, the Your Art Here t-shirt art contest where everyone wins…

Owner of Kangaroo Press, guest juror, Ryan Nole, received a BFA in Graphic Design from Indiana University in 2001. His work is currently being featered in The Art of Modern Rock: The Poster Explosion (Oct. 2003, NVU Publishing, Chicago, IL)

Artists Eligibility
Everyone is eligible. Entries must be original and have been completed after January 1, 2002.

Winning entrants will have their work reproduced on at least 30 T-shirts each and distributed among artists in many different geographical areas.

Winning artists should be prepared to send original or high-resolution artwork for reproduction upon selection. Your Art Here will produce all T-shirts from original artwork. Artists will not be responsible for producing T-shirts.

Calendar
Nov 28 - (Black Friday) entries due
Dec 3 - jury notification sent out to artists
Dec 12 - winning entry art due
Dec 17 - T-shirts begin mailing out to artists, with additional shirts available at the Your Art Here web site.

Entry procedure
Submit electronically, by CD-R or electronically. A non-refundable fee of $15 enables each artist to enter up to 4 images per entry form. Plus, your entry fee includes your choice of one of four winning designs on a t-shirt, whether or not your design is a winner!

Entry Deadline
All entries must arrive by November 14, 2003.
