Highlights from the Billboard Generation V 'Be the Media' Workshop, January 20, 2007

Your Art Here (YAH) in partnership with Monroe County Public Library (MCPL) hosted a billboard making workshop called "Be the Media: What Would You Say?" for 4th to 6th graders in conjunction with YAH's Billboard Generation V (BBG V) K-12 art billboard competition held in honor of National Youth Art Month, March 2007.

Kids learned about artists whose works are influenced by the media and the art techniques they use. Then the kids created their own art work in keeping with the theme of the workshop. Attendees were encouraged to submit one completed piece of their choice to the BBG V billboard art competition.
