Billboard Generation II
In
celebration of National Youth Art Month, in March of 2004, Your
Art Here will hold their second annual youth art billboard competition,
Billboard Generation II. We would like to invite your students
to make art on the topic, “What would you like to tell your
community?” This year’s topic challenges students
to interact directly with their community and to consider the
impact their art can have on others. We hope to instill in the
students the desire, knowledge, and confidence that will allow
them to engage their community and world throughout their lives.
The deadline for art submissions is February 2nd. At least one
upper level school student (7th-12th grades), and at least one
grade school student (1st-6th grades) from Bloomington and at
least one upper level school student (7th-12th grades), and at
least one grade school student (1st-6th grades) from Indianapolis
will be chosen and have their artwork reproduced on billboards
in Bloomington and Indianapolis (respectively). Runners-up in
Bloomington will be invited to participate in the youth art exhibition
and ceremonies at The John Waldron Arts Center. Runners-up in
Indianapolis are invited to participate in an art exhibition in
March.
